Get your manuscripts ready to be in with a chance of winning a publishing contract with the kind press.
The kind press and Beautiful You Coaching Academy are honoured to launch ‘The Spirit Scholarship’ for emerging writers who are a trainee or graduate of the Beautiful You Life Coaching Course and who identify as Black, Brown, Indigenous or a Person of Colour.
The scholarship is open to unpublished writers of non-fiction in the categories of spirituality, self-help, social justice, personal growth, narrative nonfiction and health and wellbeing. Writers do not need to have a full manuscript at the time of submission, though they must intend to complete one. The scholarship will be judged by the kind press on the first 5,000 words or full manuscript of the submitted work, along with a synopsis outlining the direction of the proposed work and detail about how the author’s writing career would benefit from winning the scholarship.
The Spirit Scholarship is being made possible by a partnership between the kind press and Beautiful You Coaching Academy.
‘Books can, and do, change people’s lives. They are portals of hope, inspiration and connection in the richest and most meaningful ways. And we believe there is no one better to write a life changing book than a coach who is devoted to supporting others to live an amazing life.
Our hope is that The Spirit Scholarship is a platform for a new and brilliant writer who is Black, Brown, Indigenous or a Person of Colour to step forth and share their magic with the world in a meaningful and lasting way. We are so excited to be a part of this with the kind press and cannot wait to celebrate the winning author and their book.’
– Julie Parker, Founder, Beautiful You Coaching Academy
